Cooperative, connected, and automated mobility (CCAM) solutions have the potential to bring various benefits to mobility systems across the EU. However, their uptake has been hindered by a lack of societal demand, partly due to their current inability to integrate seamlessly into existing mobility systems and communicate their potential benefits effectively.
Diversify-CCAM aims to develop methods and tools that support CCAM developers, transportation planners and policy makers (European, national, regional) to integrate social diversities in the design and implementation of shared autonomous mobility across all European landscapes.
The European-funded project will deepen understanding of the diverse social contexts that influence the acceptance, adoption, and utilisation of CCAM. Moreover, the project will study the surmount challenges and barriers hindering the effectiveness of shared services, especially in regions with unique geographical and cultural demands.
